AUDITION FORMAT

It is recommended for auditionees to come slightly before the audition starts to fill the audition form. Auditions will start with a brief introduction to the show and the expectations to be had.

Auditionees will be taught a short section of a vocal track and a movement/dance routine to execute. No prior dance experience or training is necessary. Just be ready to stay focused on the instructions and be confident!

Auditionees will then be asked to perform a vocal harmony exercise and test. Please note that will help us know where you fit in the overall structure of the show. No prior choir experience is needed. Again, just be ready to take in instructions and apply to the best of your ability.

Finally, all auditionees will be asked to perform a short section of a song of their own choosing (backing track must be provided by auditionee upon arrival!). The song section should be no more than a minute long, and should showcase the auditionee’s vocal ability as well as their emotional expressiveness.

Please be mindful of the 60-second section you choose – it should show you at your best! In this portion of the audition, we want to see what kind of genuineness, thought process, and stage presence the performer has. Hence, it is advised that the auditionee selects a song that they feel a strong connection to, and allows them to sing from the heart.
